‘Longmire’ Season 6 Spoilers: Series Finale to Venture into New Territory

The story of Walt Longmire will end soon. It was recently revealed that "Longmire" Season 6 will start filming sometime next month. The most interesting thing is, the series finale may enter territories that are new to the taste of the show's viewers.

While many fans are looking forward to the potential romantic storyline between Walt (Robert Taylor) and Vic (Katee Sackhoff) in "Longmire" Season 6, others are focused on something else. Carter Matt suggests that since "Longmire" is coming to an end, the plot may finally venture into brand new territories.

The outlet notes that "Longmire" Season 6 should now provide fans with a satisfying end. This doesn't mean that the showrunner will divert from what's written in Craig Johnson's series. However, viewers are looking for a series finale that will satisfy their expectations.

Something that could potentially satisfy the desires of fans is the conclusion of Vic and Walt's story. The romance between the two has been going on in the previous installments of "Longmire." However, there was no development. In "Longmire" Season 6, things may take a huge and surprising turn.

In November of last year, Deadline confirmed that "Longmire" Season 6 will be the last of the Netflix picked-up show. The streaming giant rescued the series after A&E cancelled it. Since then, "Longmire" fans have supported the show even after its move to Netflix.

Katee Sackhoff revealed late last month that "Longmire" Season 6 will be an "epic" one. The actress also first disclosed the news that filming will kick off in March. Lou Diamond Phillips, who plays Henry Standing Bear in the series, confirmed Sackhoff's revelation in a tweet earlier this month.

"Longmire" Season 6 is also expected to provide a resolution to the issue between Henry and Walt. As fans know, Henry has been living a two-faced life. He is Henry in front of his good friend, while he is Hector, the vigilante, when he has to protect his own.

Netflix has yet to announce an official premiere date for "Longmire" Season 6. However, it is expected to start airing sometime early fall or late summer 2017.
