Kanye West hasn't been shy with teasing the possibility that he won't be attending the Grammy Awards even if he was nominated eight times for this year's awards show. Many fans speculated that this might have something to do with Frank Ocean not getting any nods for his new album "Blonde" but Kanye's mom in law Kris Jenner was quick to debunk  those rumors.

Kanye earlier stated that he won't be going to the prestigious music awards show if his friend Frank Ocean was snubbed by the Grammys. It can be recalled that Ocean released his album "Blonde" last year, four years after the release of his successful "Channel Orange". It was reported that Ocean deliberately withheld his album for consideration in protest for the Grammys voting process, Metro UK reported.

However, Kris Jenner, in an interview, debunked speculations and said that Kanye was busy for New York Fashion Week, rendering him unable to attend the awards show. "He's got a lot of work to do. We wish he could be here!" she explained.

Meanwhile, it seems that the controversy surrounding Ocean and the Grammys is far from over as the singer ranted against "old" Grammy producers in his latest Tumblr post. In his post, the "Pyramid" singer slammed  producer Ken Ehrlich and writer David Wild who criticized him for his "faulty" 2013 Grammys performance. He proceeded to accuse the Grammys of cultural bias, Rolling Stone reported.

While he acknowledged that his 2013 outing at the Grammys was less than stellar, he said that it was old news and had nothing to do with his beef with the award giving body. He said that he didn't need a successful television performance to validate his worth as an artist. Instead, he measured his success with how fans have supported his music even without being attached to a label.

He also indirectly slammed Kendrick Lamar's loss to Taylor Swift for Album of the Year last year, saying that it was one of the most "faulty" television moments in history. Swift's "1989" edged out Kendrick's "To Pimp a Butterfly" in last year's show.

"I'm one of the best alive. And if you're up for a discussion about the cultural bias and general nerve damage the show you produce suffers from then I'm all for it," he said. This year's list of winners was less than controversial as Album of the Year went to Adele's "25." The singer also won Record of the Year and Song of the Year for "Hello."
