"Scorpion" Season 3 Episode 16 is titled "Keep It in Check, Mate" and it will air on Feb. 13, 2017. While the team deals with a new threat, Ralph will also be dealing with some romance drama for Valentine's Day.

The "Scorpion" Season 3 Episode 16 sneak peek video revealed that Ralph will be asking Sylvester (Ari Stidham) and Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) for help regarding his Valentine's Day problem after a pair of girls asks him out. This will cause some tension with his mother, Paige (Katharine McPhee), who feels left out that her own son didn't ask for her advice on his dilemma.

Meanwhile, Walter (Elyes Gabel) and Sylvester will travel to another country to retrieve a chess master in "Scorpion" Season 3 Episode 16. They will both pose as chess players and finally show some board game strategy skills while they go up against other geniuses and tacticians like themselves, according to CarterMatt.

Executive producer Nicholas Wooton told Assignment X that "Scorpion" Season 3 will have around three to four big story arcs that will last for many episodes. In Season 2, Wooton said that the writers had set up a lot of personal back stories, which will be explored this season.

He also hinted that there will be a lot of personal stories explored in the "Scorpion" Season 3. The last three episodes of the season will reportedly be about Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Toby. Happy has had a lot of emotional arcs this season and it was time to reveal a long story arc about her relationship with Toby. Fans are wondering if the two will get a wedding, but the writers have kept silent about that one.

The producers of "Scorpion" Season 3 also talked about Ralph's development as a young genius on the show. Wooton said that if the show will be granted another season, viewers will see an older Ralph dealing with teen problems as a young prodigy. Watch the Episode 16 promo video below.
