'Riverdale' Episode 5: Heart Of Darkness, Veronica Helps Cheryl Mourn Jason's Death

The most anticipated official synopsis of the mystery teen drama "Riverdale" is unveiled by "The CW". Chapter Five: Heart of Darkness", which is directed by Jesse Warn and written by Ross Maxwell, will air on February 23.

According to Comic Book, in the new episode of CW's modern day adaptation of the Archie Comics, the unfortunate demise of Jason Blossom makes the whole Riverdale community distressed, KJ Apa as Archie Andrews is never been the same. Discarding his football career, Andrew instead focused his attention to music.  Andrew never thought that music will get his interest despite of the unexpected end of his prohibited relationship with the young music teacher, Ms. Grundy (Sarah Habel). In this new season, a new mentor would teach him, and there is still no clue as to who will it be.

Meanwhile with a hidden plan, the Blossom family prepares for the last minute before moving forward. Betty (Lili Reinhart) wanting to investigate Jason's death digs deeper into the cause of that tragic event at the same time she uncovered a very deep and dark revelations about her family.

As reported by SpoilerTV, it seems like Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch), who is having a tough time moving on about Jason's impending funeral, has discovered the secrets of her famiy. Veronica (Camila Mendes) is there to comfort Cheryl, and it seems like it results into development of an unusual and dubious friendship with her. Finally, after receiving a mysterious letter from the Southside Serpents, Hermoine (Marisol Nichols) goes to Fred (Luke Perry) to get help decipher the message.

The series premiered last January 26, 2017. Riverdale is an American teen drama television series based on the characters by Archie Comics. It is written by Archie Comics' chief creative officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and executive produced by Greg Berlanti. The CW ordered the series in May 2016.
