With only weeks away from its scheduled release, new images for the game "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" surfaces. This time, one of the screenshots confirms the return of Beedle the merchant, who was last seen on "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword".

Now a wandering merchant with a large beetle-looking bag, Game Informer reveals the image of Link who seemingly has a conversation with Beedle on an open field. Currently, other details about the character are still shrouded in mystery, making fans more eager to play "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild".

According to IGN, Beedle's appearance in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is another connection to "The Wind Waker". Other "Wind Waker"-related material are the exclusive races, the Rito and Koroks, and an item that refers to the ancient sea.

Also known as Terry, Beedle was first introduced in "Wind Waker". Usually seen as a travelling merchant, he provides loyal customers with discounts or special items. Hopefully, he still does so in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild".

Beedle, whose name may come from his fascination of beetles, is the only other recurring character revealed so far for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", except the staples Zelda, Link and Ganon. The game will also be the character's sixth appearance in a Zelda game.

Made for both the Wii U and Switch, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is promised not to be a traditional Zelda game. Slated as the last game for the Wii U, the story will take place after the events of "Ocarina of Time", which would make the Temple of Time a ruin.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is scheduled for a March 2017 release, alongside the Switch.
