Great news for Nintendo Switch players as Nintendo will be launching a local multiplayer feature. Alongside with the Joy-Con controller of Nintendo Switch, this local multiplayer will enable the two players to do a game and have a split-screen with just a single device.

According to The Verge, the players of Nintendo Switch will now be able to do their game right away just with one device. Also, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can now support at most eight consoles. Just with the use of Wi-Fi for a local multiplayer, they can now have an amazing gaming experience with this Nintendo Switch update.

This newest update from Nintendo was revealed as part of their official announcement for the Splatoon 2 Global beta test. This beta test event of Nintendo will happen this March. As they have launched the LAN Play, this mode will allow at most ten docked consoles just via the wired LAN. This wired LAN will not need any internet connection for local multiplayer tournaments.

"It is where you want to organize a serious tournament event with your fellow players." according to the official statement from Nintendo. Also, they emphasized that this LAN Play will be perfect the usual gaming get-togethers of the players. Moreover, Nintendo has announced this week that Nintendo Switch will be already capable of true offline LAN connections. The Splatoon 2 Preview of Nintendo Switch will be included in this offline LAN connection. The 10 docked consoles can also be connected together via Ethernet.

On the other hand, this new feature of Nintendo needs an extra effort from its gamers. There's a need for Nintendo Switch players to purchase a USB-to-Ethernet adapter. According to TechRadar, there are officially licensed versions of the USB-to-Ethernet adapter. If other players have already this adapter without a license, TechRadar mentionSwitch is in its portable mode.
