"The Crown" Season 2 will return soon and it will cover the period between 1955 and 1964. The Netflix royal drama will return with new characters, the Kennedys, to be played by Michael C. Hall and Jodi Balfour. Meanwhile, the show's producer revealed that Season 3 and 4 will bring in a totally new cast.

Fans of the award-winning Netflix series will be glad to know that main stars Claire Foy (as Queen Elizabeth II) and Matt Smith (as Prince Philip) are already filming "The Crown" Season 2. According to Express, the series is currently in production for the next ten episodes. While the fans will still see Foy and Smith as Britain's royal couple, Season 3 and 4 will feature new faces.

Showrunner Pete Morgan said that while "The Crown" Season 2 still deals with the 50s until the early 60s, but Season 3 will feature Elizabeth at an older age. Not even make-up and camera effects will be able to make Foy and Smith look considerably like the real age of their characters.

In the upcoming season, the American audience will be thrilled to know that the show will be featuring the US presidential family. PEOPLE reported that Michael C. Hall ("Dexter") and Jodi Balfour ("Almost Anything") will join "The Crown" Season 2 cast as Pres. John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline Kennedy.

History buffs will know that this will be an interesting new season, especially if "The Crown" Season 2 will take a look at the events surrounding Kennedy's assassination. Another welcome addition to the cast is Matthew Goode from "Downton Abbey". He play the role of Princess Margaret's (Vanessa Kirby) future husband, Tony Armstrong-Jones, Earl of Snowdon.

Kirby told the press that Margaret meeting Tony will spark a volatile relationship that will pit the carefree Bohemian life with the prim-and-proper British one. Netflix has not yet announced "The Crown" Season 2's release date, but it will likely be in November 2017.
