NBA Trade Rumors: DeMarcus Cousins Heading To Pelicans, Will Pair With Anthony Davis!

DeMarcus Cousins has been subject to NBA trade rumors for months and finally, the issue is settled. It is confirmed, Boogie will be joining Anthony Davis in New Orleans Pelicans.

Reports are rife that DeMarcus Cousins is leaving Sacramento Kings. Unfortunately, it seems that the big man has troubles finding a new home court. Well, the search is over because Kings already agreed to send him over to New Orleans.

Sacramento has agreed to trade DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans, league source tells @TheVertical.

NBA reported that aside from Boogie, the deal will include Omri Casspi, Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield, Langston Galloway and first-and-second-round draft picks in 2017. This NBA trade between Kings and Pelicans will open the opportunity of DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis' tandem.

Unibrow and Boogie's partnership will surely boost the Pelican's grip in the current NBA league. Even before the trade was finalized, Cousins and Davis have nothing but good words for each other.

"If I'm blessed enough to have a job here, absolutely," Cousin said about playing for New Orleans Pelicans. "If that's what happens."

"He's a great player, dominant in this league, of course, with all the numbers he puts up," said Davis expressing his admiration to Cousins' performance. "Of course, DeMarcus is an elite player in this league."

On a side note, the All-Star Game last Sunday gives Anthony Davis another achievement. The encounter between the West and East All-Star players gives the former victory and yields Davis another record.

Pelicans' center and power forward player, made 39 shots and scored 52 points to lead the West's win of 192-182 at the 66th All-Star Game. It was the highest-scoring game in the NBA history with Davis breaking the previous record of 42 points set by Wilt Chamberlain in 1962, ESPN reported.
