After leading a comparatively scandal-free life, Angelina Jolie encountered a PR disaster when she filed for divorce with her husband, Brad Pitt, last year. After keeping mum about the entire incident for a very long time, as one controversy unfolded after the next, Jolie has finally decided to speak up. And from the sounds of it, she might be regretting getting separated from her husband and kids.

The only times Angelina Jolie cherished being in the limelight was when she was being recognized for her humanitarian work, in the past. Understandably, she is having difficulties coping with her tarnished public image, ever since she accused Brad Pitt of cheating on her with his "Allied" costar and being a bad father to their children.

However, playing the victim in the entire divorce did not sit well with Angelina Jolie's career, The Telegraph reports. Jolie's divorce lawyer Raoul Felder has said that his client's career, which was going downhill in the recent times, has plunged headfirst into a quicksand, ever since her divorce announcement. There are little or no hopes of recovering from the trail of PR mess that the former wife of Brad pitt has become entangled in.

"My whole, my family... we've all being through a difficult time," explained Jolie, in an interview with BBC News. But what has always been a priority with both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, as they have reiterated many times before, is their kids. Jolie said that she has to persevere and find a way out of the trying circumstances for the sake of her kids.

The "Original Sin" actress went onto subtly hint at the possibility of a reconciliation in the future. "We are a family. And we will always be a family. And we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family," said Angelina Jolie. Could this mean that Jolie is looking to patch things up with her husband Brad Pitt, so that they can all be one big, happy family again?
