Rumors have been circulating regarding possible castings for "Deadpool 2", one of which was Kerry Washington for the role of Domino. While no confirmation has been made, the actress seems to be interested in the part.

Extra was able to corner the "Scandal" actress during the 2017 Writers Guild Awards. When asked about the casting for "Deadpool 2", she played it clean by saying she has nothing to say about the issue. She also added that Fox, the production company that holds the rights for "Deadpool 2", know more about the answer to the question than she does.

She does, however, make it clear that she would accept the part, if it would be given to her. According to Comic Book, Sienna Miller and Gugu Mbatha-Raw were previously offered the role in "Deadpool 2" as Domino, however both actresses declined the offer.

News about Washington's involvement in the role started when the description for the "Deadpool 2" character got leaked online. Basing on the description of the character, Neena (or Domino) will be a badass character superb fighting abilities and with suppressed feelings. With a confident persona and armored body and emotions, Domino will prove to be a match to the wacky antics of Deadpool.

In the comics, Domino is the mutant partner, and sometimes lover, of Cable. Possessing the mutant ability to manipulate circumstances in her favor, making her 'lucky', she still needs to participate in the action in order for the luck to kick in. She is also part of the mutant outfit X-Force, where "Deadpool 2" antihero Deadpool is also a member of.

"Deadpool 2" is still casting its Cable, with rumors that Pierce Brosnan of "James Bond" fame will take the role of the powerful mutant. No word has been released by either Brosnan or Fox regarding the casting.
