The "Matrix" was a groundbreaking hit when it arrived in 1999, bringing a new style of filmmaking to the next generation. As "John Wick 2" reunited "Matrix" stars Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne, many would like to know if another tale from "Zion" would be possible. Apparently, according to Reeves, it's possible.

In a recent interview with the star for the movie "John Wick 2", Reeves, who played as the trilogy's central protagonist Neo, gave some clear thoughts of his involvement with the possible fourth entry. As Movieweb reported, he would reprise his role if the Wachowskis will be working on the project as well. He would also like to see what the story would be before donning the slick black suits and sharp sunglasses for another round of "Matrix".

The Wachowskis were an integral part of the film, being the writers and directors of all three "Matrix" films. Their interest on having another "Matrix" project has been discussed for some time, making the fourth film nowhere in sight.

Additionally, the last film in the series, 2003's "Matrix: Revolutions" saw the demise of Neo, bringing peace to the machines and humans. However, a line from Oracle, played by Mary Alice, stated that Neo may be seen again. This idea also rings true to Keanu's statement that people die, stories don't and people in stories don't. If this means that Neo would be seen again if ever the stars align and a fourth "Matrix" film would be made, only time would tell.

This isn't the first series Reeves was in that had possible sequels. According to Den of Geek,  aside from "Matrix", "Bill and Ted 3" is on top of the possible list, as reports claim that a story is ready for the movie.

"John Wick 2", the "Matrix" star's current film, is on theatres worldwide.
