‘The Originals’ Season 4 Spoilers: Klaus, Caroline To Reunite? Candice King May Join Cast!

There is good news for Klaus and Caroline shippers, who were disappointed after the former moved on to star in the lead of his own "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off, "The Originals." TVD is about to go off air, which frees Candice King, who plays Caroline onscreen to join "The Originals."

Several characters from "The Vampire Diaries" have made cameos in "The Originals" in the past seasons, which includes Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino), Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) and Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley). However, even though each one of them influenced the plot at different points, none of them stuck around to become a permanent part of the show.

This was mainly because all of them were already regular cast members of another highly successful show. But all that is set to change after "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 draws to a close, signaling the end of the series. Shooting for TVD has already wrapped up and all the cast members are taking much-deserved vacations, Siver Times reported. So there is a good chance that some of them might consider joining the cast of "The Originals" Season 4 when they come back after a little breather.

It was confirmed by TVLine that Matt Davis, who plays Alaric Saltzman on "The Vampire Diaries," is going to show up on "The Originals" Season 4, where he would deliver an important artifact to Elijah. The purpose of the artifact or why Alaric has it, is still unknown.

Even though nothing is confirmed as of yet, Julie Plec, the show runner of both "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" may approach Candice King to join "The Originals" Season 4.  The only other love interest that Klaus had on the show was Camille (Leah Pipes), who was killed in the last season.

Introducing Caroline would definitely give "Klaroline" fans something to root for. It would be interesting to see how a grown-up Hope (Summer Fontana) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) would react to Caroline getting romantically involved with Klaus.
