Ed Sheeran Keeps Ties With Feuding Superstars Katy Perry and Taylor Swift

Ed Sheeran seems to be really good at making friends. After enjoying a conversation with Katy Perry, rumors started to circulate that Sheeran's friendship with Taylor Swift has turned sour. Apparently, the situation is not what most would think.

Crashing into Perry's interview with BBC Radio 1 days before their Brit Awards performances, Sheeran got some comedic remarks from the "Hot And Cold" singer. Her recent single "Chained to the Rhythm" tumbled off the top spot on the iTunes list, replaced by Sheeran's "Shape of You". Sheeran then joins in on the conversation, talking about their memorable first encounter some time back.

The two celebs also talked about a special bond they shared. As US Weekly reported, both Perry and Sheeran have been nominated for 13 Grammys, with Perry adding that they would both be in the next Grammy cycle.

As this becomes a good tale of friendship, news of a breakup between friends Taylor Swift and Sheenan began to make its rounds. According to some news outlets, the "Thinking Out Loud" singer broke the "friendship code" with Swift, as there has been a known rift between the "Dark Horse" artist and the "Shake it Off" songstress.

While the two power ladies of the music industry might not still be in good terms, Gossip Cop reported that Sheeran is still close with Swift. It was also revealed that the rumored fallout of Sheeran and Swift is only a manufactured gossip made by some to create buzz. This was also the case in another gossip that made rounds last month, wherein Selena Gomez, who was spotted in the same club as Taylor's Ex-boyfriend John Mayer, reportedly broke their "girl code". That rumor was also found to be untrue.

Swift and Perry's rift began when Swift referred to a "mean girl" in her 2014 Rolling Stone interview. While never confirming that it was Katy, she added fuel to the fire with her "Bad Blood" music video, where Gomez' character, who was the villain of the video, resembled Perry. Katy then confirms the feud between the two when she mentioned that a collaboration between them could only happen if Swift gives her apology.

Ed Sheeran's newest album, Divide, will be out in stores on March 2017.
