Nintendo's "Fire Emblem: Heroes" is one of the company's first forays into the realm of the mobile gaming. Recently, the game received some updates, including new heroes and a new summoning mechanic called "Family Bonds."

As revealed by BGR, "Fire Emblem: Heroes" gives players access to the "Paralogues" tab, which was previously grayed out on the game's initial release. "Paralogues 1: Family Bonds" has three maps that players can score up to 9 free orbs, though they would only be available for a limited time.

Additionally, four new heroes are added to the list, all tied to the "Family Bonds" theme. Siblings Ephraim and Erika from "Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones" and Seliph and Julia from the Japan-exclusive "Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War" make their way to "Fire Emblem: Heroes". GameSpot reported that their addition introduces "Family Bonds", a mechanic that affects the characters a player obtains when summoning.

Players are given additional treats for "Fire Emblem: Heroes", as it extends the release bonus period up to March 14. This means players will still get 2 free orbs daily upon logging into "Fire Emblem: Heroes." An indefinite extension was given to the Worldwide Launch Celebration, keeping the stamina cost for the Training Tower on "Fire Emblem: Heroes" halved. Skills will also remain stamina-free during the duration of the celebration.

Two more additions were given to the Training Tower. The first one started on February 20, when rewards are added to the "Fire Emblem: Heroes" Tower every Monday. The other, scheduled for March, will allow units to receive EXP regardless of the defeated character's level.

"Fire Emblem: Heroes" is the third mobile game from Nintendo, following "Super Mario Run" and "Miitomo". Upon release, the game was well-received, with Nintendo reporting a $2.9 Million sale and ranking third in the Japanese market.

Released in February 2017, "Fire Emblem: Heroes" is available for iOS and Android devices.
