Last night's episode of Saturday Night Live had plenty of laughs, music and guest stars. Zach Galifianakis was back to host for a third time and musical guest Of Monsters and Men made their first appearance on the long-running comedy show. This week the jokes were mainly about gun control, prejudice and there was even a Michael Jordan wedding sketch. The stand out sketches however were the ones that played to Galifiankis' talents as an awkward comic. Plus we got to see Jon Hamm, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones).

The "Fox and Friends" sketches are usually pretty good, but this week's cold open was a little all over the place. Gun control is obviously on everyone's minds so SNL used it in a number of sketches throughout the night. What was pleasant about the cold open was that it did not involve any politician impersonations... oh wait, it did!

Galifianakis' monologue was great as usual but definitely had its low points. You be the judge; check it out right here:

The next sketch was a game show scenario entitled "Game of Game of Thrones." It was definitely fun for fans of the HBO series and the comical twist was pretty great. Though we got to enjoy some trivia, Zach's character was singled out with non-Game of Thrones related material. And Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's cameo was pretty great! He kept a straight face during a lot of seemingly improvised lines from the host. Check it out here:

Here are a few more sketches from this week's SNL that are worth checking out:
