Over a year ago it was reported that Zach Galifianakis and Louis C.K. were working on an FX comedy series together titled Baskets. Fans were a bit miffed when they found out that comedian Louis CK was taking an "extended hiatus" from his Emmy Award-nominated FX show Louie. In addition to this, CK is still signed on with FX to create, act, produce and write shows for the network. However, in the meantime he decided to post a new show on his website and allowing for folks to pick and choose how much they spend on the show (anywhere between $1-$85, with $5 being set as the default). Louis C.K. recently signed an overall deal with FX to produce and develop a collection of new series for the network under his production company, Pig Newton, and partnering with Louie producer Blair Breard. As it was announced Tuesday at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, the first project involves C.K. teaming up with Zach Galifianakis for a currently untitled comedy pilot. Funny or Die recently released the latest episode of Zach Galifiankis' "Between Two Ferns" Internet talk show and it features a special musical number as well. The Lonely Island snuck their latest music video for their new song "Spring Break" into the clip, making for a hilarious mashup of Internet comedy. Also, the Lonely Island guys recently announced their third album, The Whack Album, will be released on June 11 and each Wednesday on their YoutTube channel they will release new videos. Last night's episode of Saturday Night Live had plenty of laughs, music and guest stars. Zach Galifianakis was back to host for a third time and musical guest Of Monsters and Men made their first appearance on the long-running comedy show. This week the jokes were mainly about gun control, prejudice and there was even a Michael Jordan wedding sketch. The stand out sketches however were the ones that played to Galifiankis' talents as an awkward comic.
