Zach Galifianakis and Louis C.K. are joining forces for what will surely be a hilarious new comedy series with FX

Louis C.K. recently signed an overall deal with FX to produce and develop a collection of new series for the network under his production company, Pig Newton, and partnering with Louie producer Blair Breard. As it was announced Tuesday at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, the first project involves C.K. teaming up with Zach Galifianakis for a currently untitled comedy pilot.

So far it isn't clear what the show's plot will be or any of the details, but C.K. will co-write the project that was developed by Galifiankis. Both comedians will be executive producers along with Blair Breard, Dave Becky and Andrea Pett-Joseph and Marc Gurvitz.

"Working with Louis C.K. has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of my career," FX Networks and FX Productions CEO John Landgraf told The Hollywood Reporter about the overall deal. "I am thrilled that our relationship with Louis and Blair Breard will continue for the foreseeable future through this deal with FXP. So many incredibly talented artists want to work with Louis and follow down the independent and idiosyncratic creative trail he has blazed. I can't wait to see who he brings through our door, not to mention any new projects that he wants to create for us."

In a huge incentive to add more original shows, FX Productions has multiple new projects in the works, including Billy Crystal with The Comedian, You're the Worst from Weeds' Stephen Falk, Tracy Morgan's Death Pact, Denis Leary's Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Charlie Kaufman's comedy How & Why.
