Fans were a bit miffed when they found out that comedian Louis CK was taking an "extended hiatus" from his Emmy Award-nominated FX show Louie. In addition to this, CK is still signed on with FX to create, act, produce and write shows for the network. However, in the meantime he decided to post a new show on his website and allowing for folks to pick and choose how much they spend on the show (anywhere between $1-$85, with $5 being set as the default). This was posted along with a personal note from the actor/comedian.

Time reports, "Dear Human Person, Hi. This is Louis CK. This is just a note to let you know that I have put a new show up on louisck.net. It's called Louis CK live at Madison Square Garden. The show is exactly what is described there. It's the audio from my last of 3 shows that I performed at Madison Square Garden early this year."

Louis CK's blunt honesty isn't hidden here and it's an additional laugh to see that he just doesn't change his style. He's open and has literally made his show Louie in the same manner, hence why it has generated such a following since it aired back in 2010.

Yahoo! News says, "John Landgraf, the CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions, announced the news during the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Friday. 'After writing, directing, starring in, and mostly editing 61 episodes of television, he's anxious to take a break from the show and work on other things,' Landgraf explained."

Landgraf contines to say that it is unclear about the future of Louie in whether or not Louis CK will be returning in six months or two years. However, Louis will not be sitting around doing nothing – he has other collaborations with the network itself. "Not only is he currently prepping a film, but the comedian is producing two new comedies for FX. Baskets, which stars Zach Galifianakis, and Pamela Adlon's Better Things, which was ordered to series on Friday, will both debut in 2016. According to Landgraf, C.K. is also currently developing a third project for the network that will be revealed at a later date," Yahoo! News reports.

It looks like the upcoming year could be very exciting for Louis CK fans despite the break in the much-loved show!
