Zayn Malik, Perrie Edwards Break Up! See One Direction, Little Mix Fans [TWITTER REACTIONS]

Literally what is going on in the world these days? If we hadn't given up on love after the many splits that have occurred over the last couple of weeks (Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, Miranda Lambert and Black Shelton, and Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani) this split is making us completely heartbroken! It is being revealed that Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards have ended their engagement. The former One Direction star and the Little Mix singer have broken up after being engaged for almost two years – and Twitter is NOT happy! 

E! News is reporting on the star's split, saying that it comes just a week after Malik signed a new recording deal with RCA Records. The star took to his Twitter last week to post a picture of himself signing his brand new solo deal.

"I guess I never explained why I left, it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who I really am!" the star wrote on his Twitter account. "#realmusic #RCA!!"

The news of the split comes as Perrie is busy doing promotions for the UK bands brand new single "Black Magic" as well as the forthcoming album, Get Weird, and it is being reported by PEOPLE that she is "devastated."

"She's been putting on a brave face, as Little Mix have had promotion to do, but she's obviously devastated," an insider explained to the site. "Perrie's being supported by her bandmates, but she's really in pieces about this." One of Edward's bandmates that has been a shoulder to cry on has been Jesy Nelson who posted a picture on Monday to her Instagram account that showed Perrie without her diamond engagement ring for the first time.
