AMD's new Ryzen CPUs will come this March and Intel has all the rights to worry. So far, all of the Ryzen scores have been really good with a price is too good to be true. What will Intel do when the underdog suddenly bared its fangs for a fight?

According to PC World, AMD is planning to have a "hard launch" for its Ryzen processors on March 2. The launch will feature first three Ryzen processors. The processors will be named Ryzen 7 for the fastest processor on the list, the midrange Ryzen 5 and the budget friendly Ryzen 3. The company is planning to slow down the introduction of its new product, a strategy opposite of what Intel would do.

Not only are these chips cheaper than their Intel counterpart (with Ryzen up to 56% cheaper), these chips is also better in terms of performance. AMD's Ryzen 7 1800X which is priced $499 outperformed Intel's Core i7-6900K that is priced for $1,089. Ryzen 7 1700X, which is priced for $399 and is less powerful than Ryzen 1800X still managed to outperform the same Intel Corei7-6900K chip .Ryzen 1700 will also come with the Wraith Spire cooler.

With this threat getting bigger each day, Intel started delivering minor improvements to its products. Intel will not drop the gun before Ryzen's arrival, and their "wait and see" approach is preventing any possible price drop. But that doesn't mean the Intel isn't worried at all, as they're trying to use dirty plays to mitigate the risk coming from AMD's Ryzen.

According to SemiAccurate, an Intel PR sent a last minute "call us before you write" email to most of the press, except for SemiAccurate hours after the Cinebench. This report shows that Intel is really worried about something. If that something is not AMD's Ryzen, then who knows what it is.
