At the moment, AMC is yet to announce a definite "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3 release date. However, the network did reveal in a previous press release that the third season of the zombie-themed series will come out "this summer." How to interpret what the phrase could prove a bit tricky and will be covered later in this article.

Fortunately, AMC recently dropped the "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3 synopsis and the first photos for the third season.  Combined, they provide clues for fans on what to expect in the coming season, according to CBR.

In the previous season, Nick and Luciana were ambushed by an American militia group. While the released "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3 photo show Luciana survive the ordeal, it may have a more lasting effect on her partner. Apparently, the incident will leave Nick shaken to the core, his illusion of immortality is now shattered.

Meanwhile, fans may expect Madison and Travis to reconnect when the "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3 premiere arrives. Together with Madison's daughter Alicia, the trio survives the journey after leaving the main group of survivors. However, Alicia carries a heavy load as she still carries the weight and guilt of killing Andres.

In the past seasons, the "FTWD" release has been synchronized to the release of "The Walking Dead," Den of Geek reported. Specifically, the companion series/sequel is paced so that "TWD" takes over after its season finale. Since "TWD" always aired on October and considering that AMC said this summer, it is highly likely that the "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3 release date could arrive by May or June this year. This would give if enough time to air the 16 episodes for the upcoming season before "The Walking Dead" takes over by October.
