'Longmire' Season 6 Spoilers: Walt & Vic Are The Endgame in Final Season? Henry, Walt Make Up

When Netflix announced that “Longmire” Season 6 will be the last for the series, all the fans wished for is a fitting conclusion for their beloved series. Nothing will satisfy them more, though, than seeing Sheriff Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) and Deputy Victoria “Vic” Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) ending up together.

Sackhoff recently teased via Twitter that there will be a lot of things that the fans should look out for in “Longmire” Season 6 according to Cartermatt. Aside from promising that the final season will be epic, Sackhoff also revealed that filming will begin in March.

Lou Diamond Phillips, who plays Henry Standing Bear, echoes his co-stars claim of “Longmire” Season 6 being epic. The finale season will reportedly provide a resolution to Henry and Walt’s relationship. In the previous season, the former was living a two-faced life. In front of Walt, Henry was a good friend to him but he also has another persona, Hector, a vigilante.

Meanwhile, Executive Producers Greer Shephard, Hunt Baldwin and John Coveny assured fans of "a dynamic and satisfying conclusion" for “Longmire” Season 6 says a Deadline report. This will serve as the fans’ reward for being loyal to the series and being instrumental in bringing it back on air after being cancelled by its original network, A&E.

It can be recalled that the fans of the series adapted from Craig Johnson’s “Walt Longmire Mysteries” book series, launched a petition campaign to save the show. Netflix picked it up beginning with its fourth season.

In announcing that “Longmire” Season 6 will be cancelled, Netflix’s VP for Original Content Cindy Holland expressed her pride of the streaming giant being the home of the “Longmire” TV series. She also lauded the three producers, the cast and crew. She likewise expressed confidence that the series will have a satisfying conclusion. Unfortunately, Holland did not address the question on every fan’s mind. That is, of Walt and Vic will end up together.

The release date of “Longmire” Season 6 has not yet been announced by Netflix. It is expected to happen sometime in late summer or early fall of 2017 if one bases this on the release dates of the earlier seasons.
