Even though Kate Hudson has had a more or less uneventful divorce from ex-husband Chris Robinson, they might soon be entering into a custody battle over their 13-year-old son, Ryder. After 11 years of sharing joint custody with Hudson, Robinson has filed for the re-evaluation of their agreement. Will the judge rule in favor of Robinson?

Even though Hollywood celebrity divorces are known to be pretty messy, the "Bride Wars" actress has managed to keep her personal life away from the prying eyes of the media. The public never got to know what the "irreconcilable differences" in her marriage with singer Chris Robinson were, even after their divorce was finalized more than 10 years ago. And since both of them were granted a joint custody of Ryder, who was 2 years old at the time,

Hudson has maintained that level of privacy, even as she started a family of her own with present partner Matt Bellamy and their son, Bingham. Robinson, on the other hand, moved on to his third wife (Hudson, being the 2nd), Allison and both of them were blessed with daughter Cheyenne.

Throughout the years, have been no rumors of either Hudson or Robinson being a bad parent to Ryder. Hence it came as a surprise to all when the "Train Robbers" singer filed a petition for a re-examination of Ryder's joint custody agreement with the Los Angeles Supreme Court, on February 6, Just Jared reported.

The custody evaluator is tasked with "developing a parenting plan that addresses legal custody and physical custody", after interviewing Ryder, Hudson, Robinson and anyone who might be relevant in making the all-important decision, E! Online reported. If things go sideways, Hudson could end up visiting rights to her son, since Robinson is obviously gunning for full custody.

Hudson, however, believes that the issue starts and ends with money, something that Robinson is rumored to demand more and more of. Apparently, according to inside sources, the financial situation has been an ongoing issue for months, even though it has not been as highly publicized as some of the other celebrity custody battles.
