Donald Trump's Twitter (or rather, fingers) has been busy the past weekend. Not only did he rain down on former US President Barack Obama, accusing him of bugging Trump Tower, he also unleashed his wrath on Arnold Schwarzenegger regarding "Celebrity Apprentice".

Trump and Schwarzenegger have been at each other's throats ever since industrialist-turned-President started campaigning for the 2016 Presidential Elections. A bitter feud developed between the two when ratings of Trump's till then highly successful reality show, "Celebrity Apprentice", started falling rapidly.

Trump, being one of the executive producers on the "Celebrity Apprentice", immediately pointed a finger at Schwarzenegger's less-than-average hosting skills, merely weeks before his inauguration. The "Terminator" films' star, on the other hand, was quick to reply that Trump should look at his own deteriorating reputation as a major contributing factor.

The feud escalated when Schwarzenegger decided to officially quit "Celebrity Apprentice", a decision he announced last Friday, February 3. "I loved every second of working with NBC and Mark Burnett. Everyone - form [sic] the celebrities to the crew to the marketing department - was a straight 10, and I would absolutely work with all of them again on a show that doesn't have this baggage," Schwarzenegger wrote in a statement, TIME reports.

In order to clear the air behind what he meant by "baggage", Schwarzenegger added that Trump's association with the "Celebrity Apprentice" brand was actually hurting its ratings. And that the show was fast losing viewers as well as sponsors since it was caught up in the divisiveness that currently plagues America.

It was more than likely that President Trump wasn't going to take the allegations lying down. "Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show," he tweeted on Saturday.

Schwarzenegger then tweeted back at Trump that he ought to hire a new "joke writer" and "fact checker", suggesting that he found Trump's tweet humorless and incorrect. Trump has often been blamed by the media for being a hypocrite, in that, he chooses to tweet out news that is not backed by facts and yet has branded certain news outlets as "fake news".

It seemed that divisiveness in the United States is spreading more than ever and the Trump brand has taken the hit for it. Soon after Trump took office, major shopping outlets dropped his daughter's fashion line and jewelry, as women started openly boycotting Ivanka Trump on social media. Several New York residents and a Toronto city councilman called for the removal of the name "Trump" from their buildings and hotels, Atlantic reports.

Hence, all evidence points to Arnold Schwarzenegger's claim to be true; it might have been Trump's name associated with "Celebrity Apprentice" that caused its downfall. So is President Trump perpetuating "fake news" again, just to get back his rival?
