Nineteen cinemas across the United States are set to screen "Attack on Titan" Season 1 movies before Season 2 is set to air. Distribution company Funimation is the one who will bring the two recap films to select silver screens across the country.

The second installment of the hit titan anime will premiere in Japan in April. In preparation for that, Funimation will show two "Attack on Titan" Season 1 movies in 19 select movie theaters. The first is "Guren no Yumiya," which will retell the happenings in the first half of the anime. The second one is "Jiyuu no Tsubasa," which will recap the second half of the anime's story. Aside from that, it will also show a teaser Season 2.

The two "Attack on Titan" Season 1 movies run for 120 minutes each. Cinemas showing them will also screen them for one night only. "Guren no Yumiya" will play on Mar. 27, followed by "Jiyuu no Tsubasa" on Mar. 28 or Mar. 29. Polygon said the screening date for the second movie depends on the cinemas.

Funimation announced last February that the much-awaited sequel to "Attack on Titan" Season 1 will begin airing in Japan on Apr. 1. They also released a teaser last year that showed the Titans breaking down Wall Rose. The said wall is the second one that shields residents of the districts of Chlorba, Karanese and Trost from titan attacks.

Though Eren, Mikasa and the other elite titan fighting team are to watch out for in the trailer, fans should also take notice of two new titans. The bigger titan can be seen throwing a horse at the Survey Corps, the cream-of-the-crop team Eren and the others belong to. Meanwhile, the second and smaller titan is digging through a heap of dead gigantic fellows. The two of them will likely be unfamiliar to fans who have seen "Attack on Titan" Season 1, but manga readers would know these two well.
