The "Rick and Morty" Season 3 premiere is taking forever to arrive much to the consternation of its huge following. Its Season 2 ended in October 2015 which makes the next one definitely long overdue and leaves the fans frustrated over the long wait. It doesn’t help that they seem to be taken for a ride by some people including the producers themselves.

Recently, Adult Swim Australia released a video teaser of what was supposed to be “Rick and Morty” Season 3. The fans went haywire only to find out that it was just a joke. It turns out that the supposed teaser was just a compilation of previous episodes and many fans were understandably mad over being misled.

Next, “Rick and Morty” Season 3 EP and co- creator Justin Roiland made a shocking response to popular YouTuber Freddie Wong’s tweet. He asked Roiland if His Twitter timeline is full of people begging for the Season 3 of the “Back to the Future” parody.

Roiland’s answer of, "Pretty much. When they find out it's never coming... yeesh. It's gonna get gnarly,” angered many fans. They felt that they have been waiting for nothing all along. But, Roiland later backtracked and said that everything was only said in jest. It was the second time in a row that the fans felt that they were being played with and their patience being mocked.

Fans made their frustration and the resulting confusion known on the two incidents. They posted angry memes for being played with specially by someone who they sought for answers regarding “Rick and Morty” Season 3. This is probably what prompted co-creator Dan Harmon to confirm that the series is indeed returning. Den of Geek reports that the new season will have 14 episodes. The report also said that the premiere date is in the hands of Adult Swim.

Writer Mike McMahan revealed that production of the highly anticipated season has wrapped up according to Metro. His tweet said, "And that's a wrap for me on “Rick and Morty” Season 3! You guys are going to love it." With this, fans should be appeased that their long wait is almost over and will probably all worth it.
