"The Simpsons" Season 28's latest episode was a throwback to a classic that is getting mixed reviews from fans. One reviewer gave the ode to "Kamp Krusty" four stars out of five while another said that "Kamp Krustier" was a disappointment and a travesty to the David M. Stern original.

The last part is a huge blow because David M. Stern was also the one who penned the latest "The Simpsons" Season 28 episode. Dennis Perkins of the A.V. Club wrote that "Kamp Krustier" did not even expand on "Kamp Krusty" nor even bothered to deconstruct it. All it did was turn out to be an unmemorable and disappointing episode, thus the C- grade for the.

Twenty-four seasons ago, when Maggie was still a little tot, bad things happened at Kamp Krusty. That summer at the camp gave Lisa a horrendous trauma and provided Bart with his fake PTSD in "The Simpsons" Season 28's "Kamp Krustier." However, the latter discovered that his shell-shocked condition stemming from that summer camp was not fake at all. In fact, he found that he had suppressed memories from that time.

The siblings' character moments were all good but they had nothing to do at all with the plot at hand in "Kamp Krustier." After all, there was barely any connection to David M. Stern's original "Kamp Krusty" that it was a surprise they decided to do a flashback. Furthermore, there was not a single reference to the Season 4 episode when the "The Simpsons" Season 28 episode was supposed to be a sequel.

Meanwhile, Den of Geek! writer Tony Sokol was all praises for "Kamp Krusty" sequel, "The Simpsons" Season 28 "Kramp Krustier." He commended Chief Wiggum and Lou's one-liners as well as the use of sexual frustration as the butt of the joke. That is because of being, uh, sexually unrelieved, Bart suddenly became the epitome productivity in the latest episode.

However, that does not give his wife Marge one iota of happiness. Hence, the couple's therapy sessions in "Kamp Krusty." However, at the end of the day in that particular "The Simpsons"  Season 28 episode, the titular family in figured things out.
