'Shadowhunters' Season 2B Spoilers: Sebastian & Seelie Queen Introduction; Air Date on June 5

The supernatural urban fantasy series on Freeform ended with a mid-season finale last Monday, but "Shadowhunters" Season 2B will air soon on June 5. The second half of the season will introduce a new shadowhunter named Sebastian (Will Tudor), the Seelie Queen, and a growing divide between Downworlders and Shadowhunters after Jace mistakenly activated the Soul Sword, which Valentine used to kill several Downworlders.

Fans of "Shadowhunters" Season 2B will have to wait a bit more, but they can look forward to a more intense run when the show finally introduces Sebastian. Those who have read the books know who Sebastian really is and the role he plays in the war between Valentine's Circle and the rest of the Shadow World. Many fans have already speculated that it was Sebastian who took the Soul Sword at the end of the episode. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Seelie Queen will also have a bigger role when the season returns, so fans will definitely be able to see the Seelie Court and gain more insight into the fae politics.

Another thing fans can't wait to see is the relationship between Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.) and Alec (Matthew Daddario), who have both said, "I love you" to each other in the mid-season finale. Their relationship is only going to grow stronger after that big confession and perhaps fans will finally get a lot more intimate scenes between the two in the upcoming "Shadowhunters" Season 2B episodes.

In Episode 10, Jace (Dominic Sherwood) found out that he and Clary (Kat McNamara) were not siblings, but he refrained from telling her when he saw her and Simon (Alberto Rosende) kissing. Viewers are eager to see how this love triangle will develop in "Shadowhunters" Season 2B. The producers told TV Line that Clary and Jace will get back together since they take the source material very seriously, but they would like to take it slow in the next few episodes. According to them, Climon is a bit sweeter than Clace, so it's a great contrast to see in the series.

The producers have also promised that the three Mortal Instruments will play a big role in the next half of the season. Things will get darker and more intense.
