Jaimie King and Dave Bautista have landed a role in "Escape Plan 2." Details about their character in the film are revealed below.

Bautista plays a character similar to Arnold Schwarzenegger Swan Rottmayer's in "Escape Plan 2," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor and MMA champion plays someone with close ties to Sylvester Stallone's Ray Breslin.

Meanwhile, Deadline reports that Jaimie King ("Hart of Dixie") has also landed a role in "Escape Plan 2." She plays a female lead by the name of Abigail Ross. King replaces actress Amy Ryan, who played Ross in the first film.

In related news, rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson returns to "Escape Plan 2" along with Stallone. He reprises Hush from the original film. Hush is an expert IT technician and one of Breslin's trusted colleagues.

There has been no word from the studios if Arnold Schwarzenegger also reprises Swan Rottmayer in the sequel. It is unlikely that he returns, given how the character's story ended in the original film. The first film centered on Rottmayer's plan to recruit Breslin in his escape from prison. The movie ended with Breslin having successfully escaped the high-security prison along with Rottmayer.

It remains unclear if "Escape Plan 2" takes off after the events in the original film. However, given that, Bautista's role is similar to Schwarzenegger's then perhaps it follows the same plotline. Only this time Bautista's character could be the one needing Breslin's help to get out of prison.

Steven C. Miller is directing "Escape Plan 2" with Miles Chapman returning to pen the script. A release date for the sequel has yet to be announced. Likewise, additional cast updates and further details about Bautista and King's role in the movie remain scarce. Plot details and shooting location also remain under wraps.
