iPhone 8 won't feature a curved OLED screen according to rumors. The much-awaited iPhone 8 to launch by Apple this year, is set to receive a major redesign before its release date.

New reports from MacRumors claimed that the new mockup design of the iPhone 8 has been rounded up by designers and artist of Apple company, as the second part of their concept series before Apple finally releases their "Flagship Killer" this 2017. The concepts may, however, differ from the previous designs of the iPhone 8 that was reported a few weeks ago.

According to the designer, Gabor Balogh, he imagines the iPhone 8 with a curved edge-to-edge OLED display and a virtual home button that operates an "augmented reality" or an advanced Siri feature. However, IHS Markit Analyst Wayne Lam says that the iPhone 8 will stick to its flat-screen design, but still with an OLED screen and an LCD technology that is found in the previous iPhones.

"Much like the recently announced LG G6, we anticipate a touchscreen with a new longer aspect ratio design to take advantage of the higher coverage area of the iPhone in its entirety," he added. The designer also explained that the new design language is expected to become a trend this year.

Meanwhile, other rumors claimed that Apple will not be naming their new "flagship killer" as iPhone 8 but will be named as "Edition." Now, according to The Sun, the "iPhone Edition" will be released after iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is launched. If rumors are true, the iPhone 7's successor, iPhone 8, will be released costing around £820.

On the other hand, Apple company held its annual iPhone event every September and traditionally announces all the new iPhones that are coming out. But then due to some redesigning and another conceptualizing of the iPhone 8 the multinational technology company may release the ultra-premium iPhone 8 at a separate event later this year.
