Warner Bros. is moving forward with a "Nightwing" solo movie for the DC Comics Extended Universe. The studio is currently on the lookout for the actor that will play the said superhero.

So far, the "Nightwing" solo movie has tapped Chris McKay of "The Lego Batman Movie" to direct the superhero film. According to McKay, the Nightwing is different from the other superheroes in that he doesn't come from a privileged family. Also, he has a very light and carefree character.

"He's a fascinating guy to me, because he had all the same things happen to him," McKay said, as quoted by Polygon. "He's got some of the same negatives as Bruce Wayne and then from a society standpoint - obviously he was adopted into Bruce Wayne's life ... but he didn't start that way. He's this guy who has all these negatives and then even more negatives and yet he remains."

According to ComicBook, "Supernatural" actor Jared Padalecki has expressed his intention to play Nightwing in the DCEU.

Who really is Nightwing? We've listed down everything we know so far about the mysterious Nightwing.

He's a sex symbol

All superheroes have really ripped bods and aren't lacking in the abs department, but Nightwing has a sort of appeal that screams sex symbol. The character is always portrayed as having a certain pin-up allure, and is often drawn into sexy poses that properly give justice to his abs or butt. Even fans have taken notice, and even voted him as the Most Eligible Bachelor in a DC fan poll.

He doesn't rely on gadgets that much

Nightwing has been taught by a variety of teachers. He was trained by the best acrobats in the world since his birth. Bruce Wayne took him under his wing, and Nightwing learned a lot from him as well. All in all, his has exception hand-to-hand combat skills. He doesn't use gadgets, and instead relies on improvised and world-class martial arts skills and parkour.

He's a good guy in the multiverse

The DC Comics universe is quite a complicated one, especially since characters exist in different ways in different earths. Unlike other characters that have evil counterparts in other earths, Nightwing (a.k.a Dick Grayson) is a good guy all throughout. Across the Multiverse, he remains the same optimistic kid that Batman took under his wing.
