Back in 2009, Chris Brown was charged with physical assault and making criminal threats. Reports surfaced that he had been violent with his girlfriend, singer Rihanna. Now, it seems that Brown wants to reconnect with her after following her on Instagram. He reportedly wants to repair their relationship.

Last Sunday, fans saw that Chris Brown had started following his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, on Instagram. According to Heavy, a source close to the singers said that they were talking again. The source went on to say that the two reconnected on social media, then started texting again.

Rihanna's fans are not happy with the news, considering that Chris Brown had assaulted her physically before. Another thing is that Brown is currently facing a restraining order from another ex-girlfriend, Karreuche Tran, who claimed that he hit her and threatened to kill her.

It's obvious that Brown has a problem with his temper, and fans are worried that he's getting a pass again after what he did to his previous lovers. Aside from following Rihanna, Chris Brown had also followed Melissa Ford, one of Rihanna's closest friends. When fans called him out on it, the "Party" singer said, "Melissa is and will always be my home. No extras. Don't get too excited people. Not gonna happen."

A different source told Dance Hall Hip Hop that nothing was happening between Rihanna and Chris Brown. They were both being cordial, but they will not be rekindling their romance anytime soon. Rihanna's fans will be relieved to know that Rihanna has not followed him back or communicated with him on social media.

Back when the two were still together, Rihanna told the press that she used to defend his actions towards her. Chris Brown had trouble reining in his temper, and for a while, she thought she could help him. It was only when things became worse that she realized she was in an abusive relationship and called the police on her boyfriend, who had hit her before her own concert in 2009, which had to be cancelled.
