Deadmau5, Kat Von D Song Preview [LISTEN] to 'Satellite': 'Strobe' DJ Collaboration Featured on Tattoo Artist Girlfriend's Debut Album, Wedding Plans Revealed

Deadmau5 and his celebrity tattoo artist girlfriend, Kat Von D, have been working on a new collaboration together for Kat's debut album. The "Strobe" DJ/producer previewed a demo version of the engaged duo's new song, "Satellite," which will be featured on his fiance's upcoming debut album.

Hours after sending out the Twitter message, Deadmau5 posted a demo version of "Satellite" with a brief message: "The first rough draft of "Satellite." Still lots of work to do, but here's the intro + 1^st verse for you."

The LA Ink star also excitedly tweeted about her upcoming album, which will feature the complete version of "Satellite," a few days day before (May 4th):

"Dedicating the rest of the day to working on my album w @deadmau5 #musictime #partnerincrime ❤"

Deadmau5's new "smooth, emotional" track, entitled "Satellite," features a dark piano intro, a minimalistic drop, and vocals from his fiance Kat Von D. As YourEDM notes, "the song has so many layers, both organic and electronic all coming together for a very impactful production."

Not many details have been revealed surrounding Kat's upcoming album, which she reportedly started working on back in 2011. Earlier this year, Von D teamed up with guitarist Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails) to record "LUVnSTUFF," a remake of 2009 Deadmau5 hit "Ghosts N Stuff" that features the tattoo artist on vocals. The song was her Valentine's Day gift to the Canadian producer, reports Radio.com.

Another project that the couple has been working on together is their forthcoming wedding. Kat Von D told People magazine last month that her summer wedding will be "the furthest thing from traditional." She added that the big day will take place Aug. 10 and that about 200 friends and family will attend the underwater-themed ceremony in Los Angeles.

Kat revealed that her theme is inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's short story 'The Call of Cthulhu,' about a half-man, half-octopus.

As Fox News reported back in December, Deadmau5 (Joel Thomas Zimmerman), popped the question to Von D on Twitter:

"I can't wait for Christmas so ... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?"

The tweet also included a photo of the engagement ring, which has two small skulls on the side.

"Changing the diamond to black diamond FYI. Sorry for the jpg ... they'll finish the actual ring soon I hope," he added.  

Von D responded to her man, also via Twitter, with:

"Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiancé!"
