Katy Perry admitted during her speech at the Human Rights Campaign Gala Dinner that she had done more than just kissed a girl. The actress talked about sexuality and her involvement with the LGBTQ community during Saturday's event in Los Angeles.

Katy Perry's 2008 hit song "I Kissed a Girl" applies to her in real life. According to the New York Daily News, the 32-year-old admitted that she had kissed a girl and "did more than that." Of course, she did not go into details about her experience with the same sex, but one can already guess what she means.

The "Chained to the Rhythm" singer had experimented with the same sex born out of curiosity. "What I did know was I was curious, and even then I knew sexuality was not as black and white as this dress, Katy Perry said, in reference to the ruffled black and white dress she wore to the event.

Katy Perry's curiosity prompted her to write the 2008 song, which clearly speaks for the LGBTQ community. The song includes the lines "I kissed a girl and I liked it/I kissed a girl just to try it." The singer noticed that when the song came out people were surprisingly interested in singing along too, which eventually helped welcome the LGBTQ people into the community.

Aside from her admission that she did more than just kissed a girl, Katy Perry also expressed her full support for the LGBTQ people during her acceptance speech. According to The Sun, she recalled that the people she met changed her perception about sexuality. These people made her happy and made her realize that one only has to open their minds and hearts in order to accept the LGBTQ community.

Katy Perry was at the Human Rights Campaign Gala Dinner to accept an award. She received the National Equality Award for her tireless work with the LGBTQ community.
