The highly anticipated Windows 10 update, named Creators Update, is expected to arrive very soon bringing with it a host of improvements and cool new features such as Playable Ads and Windows MyPeople. However, Microsoft will also introduce a few tweaks on how updates will be downloaded in general, which could become a cause of concern for those using metered connection.

The Microsoft Windows 10 Creators Update could arrive any day now. It was previously speculated to be launched this month but since March is almost over, a more likely scenario is that Microsoft will schedule its release by April, Express reported.

Aside from fixing known issues, the Microsoft 10 update is expected to introduce a host of new features to the highly popular operating system. Among the speculated new features are a better VR support and an improved integration for the Xbox console.

The upcoming Microsoft Windows 10 Creator Update is also speculated to introduce a new feature called Windows MyPeople. The feature enables users of the operating system to share files, photos and documents without opening another app or software.

Another new feature that will be introduced by the new Windows 10 update is the new Playable Ads feature. Touted to be a game changer, the new feature allows Windows 10 users to try out apps without buying or even installing them on their PCs.

However, Microsoft has announced that the Windows 10 Creators Update will also change the way future patch and updates are downloaded. The software giant confirmed that the upcoming version of the operating system will now automatically download future updates, Engadget reported.

The automatic update feature will be implemented even in cases of metered connection. While this may not be a concern for those with unlimited or high cap data plans, this is certainly worrisome for Windows 10 users who are using pay per usage data connection or those with a limited data cap.

Fortunately, Microsoft clarified that the new auto-download feature only applies to files that are considered "critical fixes" such as malware fixes and not for large files. However, the software company has not released any data on what it considers to be the threshold between "critical" files that will be auto-downloaded and those files too large to be automatically downloaded.
