Tom Selleck, who plays Frank Reagan on "Blue Bloods" Season 7, will not be leaving the show, amid previous speculations. The 72-year-old actor plans to stay on till the story ends, especially considering the fact that the police procedural will have aired 150 episodes next week, a major milestone in the show's history.

As police commissioner, Frank is an important member of the police force. Plus, his children, Danny, Jamie, and Erin still need him to carry on the family and the team. So, when there were reports that Selleck will leave the show, fans were understandably upset. The rumors came after reports surfaces that Selleck was taking his time renewing his contract for "Blue Bloods" Season 7.

Next week, the show will air its 150th episode, which is a major achievement for any TV series. In an interview with CBS Philadelphia's Eyewitness News, Selleck said that the show's major selling point is the characters. The "Blue Bloods" Season 7 cast chimed in and said that many Philadelphia cops have praised the show for its police portrayal.

The show has been applauded for its authenticity and drama. Many of the show's viewers also love how it explores the lives of the police officers who struggle to balance work and personal problems. "Blue Bloods" Season 7 Episode 18, the show's 150th episode, will be about Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) investigating the disappearance of an ex-NYPD officer. Frank (Selleck), meanwhile, will face a problem when a friend of his refuses to retire from the force despite his age.

According to TV Insider, Selleck loves the family atmosphere of the show and is proud of its success. He also said that he wasn't getting tired of the show, so he won't be leaving after "Blue Bloods" Season 7. Next week's episode won't be the first time for Selleck to achieve 150 episodes in a show.
