Things are definitely calming down for the now estranged couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. It has been six months since the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" stars announced their separation and it looks like the two are now trying to be amicable to each other.

An insider revealed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are trying their best to be good parents to their six children and for them they are talking to each other directly, reported People. "He's much happier," said a source. "He's very relieved that things are not playing out in public anymore."

The stars who had been in a relationship for 12 years announced their separation in September last year when Angelina Jolie filed for a divorce from her now ex-husband Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have also decided to take help of a private judge for their divorce and custody proceedings. They are doing their best to resolve the issues privately and the negotiations are on. The source added that the separation which came as a shock to many and the public drama that followed it was a rough time for both of them and their children. But the ex-couple were able to resolve it with the help of each other.

They haven't forgotten that they are parents to six kids and hence are still working on resolving the prevailing issues. The source also revealed that with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie back on talking terms, the "Troy" star is getting to meet his kids more often and he is spending a lot of time with them when they are in Los Angeles.

It was in February only that the 41-year-old "Maleficent" star broke her silence and spoke about her split from ex-husband Brad Pitt for the first time. Angelina Jolie spoke to BBC World News about her divorce and how she and her kids are doing after the split, reported Mstars News.
