The New York Giants denied reports that they are interested in Adrian Peterson. The NFL Pro denied he is demanding a hefty pay for his services and said he is in no rush to find a team.

After ten years of playing for the Vikings in the NFL, Peterson expressed interest to join the New York Giants earlier. The Giants need a running back after they released Rashad Jennings, NESN reported.

The Giants said they will not go after Adrian Peterson because of his past legal troubles while he was playing in the NFL. Earlier, New York was widely criticized after retaining Josh Brown in their roster. Brown was arrested based on charges of domestic violence and after admitting to physically abusing his wife. The Giants did not release him until October of last year.

Peterson has had his troubles with the law in September 2014 when he was indicted on charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child. A week after the start of the 2014 NFL season, Peterson was yet again in hot water after being suspended because of the charges.

The 32-year old's slim NFL prospects are hardly surprising given his history of injuries. Last week, ESPN reported that the four-time All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowl selection wants more than $8 million on his next annual contract.

In response, Peterson clarified that he is not after the money and is in no rush to find a team and confidently said that he expects to still play in the NFL. He took it to twitter to air his side on the issue, "The last thing I'm worried about is playing ball this coming season...that will happen! It's not all about the money as everyone is speculating here lately," he said, CBS Sports reported. Peterson went to slam the analysts for reportedly spreading false speculations. He said he wants to find the best fit for him and take a team all the way to a championship.

In 2015, Adrian Peterson lead the NFL with 1,485 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. However, he signed off to free agency last year when the Vikings signed tailback Latavius Murray from the Oakland Raiders.
