'Agents of SHIELD' Season 4 Episode 17: Grant Ward Returns As Leader Of Inhuman Resistance?

After a long hiatus, "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4 Episode 17 will air on April 11. Marvel's much-loved franchise is returning with a bang, and it is bringing back one of its most anticipated character - Grant Ward (Brett Dalton).

The previous episode saw Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and Daisy (Chloe Bennet) discovering that all their team members have been replaced by LMDs. Holden Radcliffe has successfully managed to kidnaps all the other agents including Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), and Mac (Henry Simmons) and uploaded their minds into a virtual reality. Even though LMD May sacrifices herself in order to help Simmons and Daisy escape with the trainees, they will have a long battle in front of them in "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4 Episode 17 if they want to rescue the rest of their team.

According to Flickering Myth, "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4 Episode 17 is titled "Identity And Change" and its synopsis reads, "As Daisy and Simmons struggle to discover an escape route to the real world, the identity of the Inhuman leader of the Resistance is revealed, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." This brings into question, who the Inhuman leader might be.

It has also been revealed by Comic Book Movie that Grant Ward will make an appearance in a guest role on "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4 Episode 17. This might come as a shock to long-time followers of the series since Ward died along with Daisy's boyfriend, Lincoln Cambell in the finale of Season 3.

Knowing the recurring trend followed by the show, the character of Grant Ward will be revived in a big way since he has earlier made his way from Agent Ward to the embodying the God of Hydra. Even though it has not been disclosed as to which character Ward will be portraying on "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4 Episode 17, there is a distinct possibility that he might be the face of the Inhuman leader, inside an alternate reality, just to throw Agent Simmons and Daisy off.
