The "Real Housewives of New York City" 2013 cast has been hit with a REAL reality check from Bravo, as the network threatens to cancel season 6 of the reality series due to the housewives' outrageous salary demands!

Production for the upcoming RHONY season was set to begin on Wednesday, notes The Hollywood Reporter, but filming has reportedly been delayed and will not commence until all six of the housewives, LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill and Heather Thomson, sign a new contract with Bravo.

The Examiner has recently reported that only Aviva Drescher has come to an agreement with the network thus far (as of Friday), confirming her return to the upcoming sixth season of RHONY.

"Aviva got a huge raise," a source close to production told Radar Online on May 10. "She made $60,000 in her first season but her new contract is for a whopping $100,000."

Each cast member negotiates a separate deal and is paid a different sum depending on how long the housewife has been with the show, notes THR. However, a source reveals that the remaining unsigned stars are displeased because "what's currently on the table is unacceptable."

Negotiations reportedly began about three weeks ago, but little progress has been made. It was previously reported that original RHONY cast member, Ramona Singer, signed on for season 6 weeks ago, but a source close to the New Yorker claims that this is not the case.

"Ramona still hasn't signed her contract yet and she is getting really nervous about the deal falling through," the source told the Examiner.

Ramona and LuAnn de Lesseps (along with former NY housewife Bethany Frankel) have been members of the RHONY series since it originated in 2008. Therefore, they are most likely demanding much more money than newcomer Aviva, who was just added last year.

Apparently some of the housewives think that Bravo is bluffing and will not actually cancel the show if the ladies don't compromise soon. According to All About the Real Housewives, one anonymous NY star stated, "Each one of us were offended such low amounts that we all refused to sign. We did not get together, half of us don't speak. We are not being greedy we are asking for what we are worth."

She continued, "We don't make money writing books and selling wine anymore, so we need to make money as talent on the show. By the time we pay for cloths, make-up, lawyers and publicists to protect ourselves from the way we are painted in editing - we lose money doing this show. Having an unhappy cast makes no sense. They are saying they will pull the show if we don't sign tomorrow, but we don't believe them."

Filming has now been pushed back to Monday, and if monetary negotiations aren't agreed upon soon, Bravo may be forced to pull the plug on season 6 of RHONY.

The New York series, the second-oldest in the Bravo franchise, is still a pretty big hit for Bravo, notes THR, even though ratings declined about 20 percent from season 4 to season 5. Beverly Hills and Atlanta remain the top performers in the franchise.

Drama surrounding the sixth season of RHONY is already outrageous and filming hasn't even started yet!
