DJ Tiesto, who has been busy "owning the night" with his Hakkasan Las Vegas residency, released the TRACKLIST for his upcoming Club Life: Volume 3 Stockholm album.
The mix compilation (including 9 original Tiesto tracks) features 16 of the EDM DJ's latest hits and is set to take over the club scene with its June 18th release. To hold Club Life fanatics over, Tiesto has also provided a free mini-mix, containing 5 of the soon-to-be summer anthems, available for download (see below).
While most fans were stoked to hear the news that they can preview the latest dance/electro Club Life tracks from the "Can't Stop Me Now" spinner before its release, Tiesto's Mexican followers weren't not as pumped to hear the cancellation news of the upcoming tour in Mexico.
The Dutch musician, born Tijs Michiel Verwest, made the cancellation announcement on May 7th, when he posted this statement on his Facebook page:
We regret to announce that Tiësto's tour of Mexico has been cancelled. Each Tiësto show is planned with the highest level of production in order to make it an unforgettable experience for the fans. However, when it became clear that these high standards could not be met we had no other alternative than to cancel the tour.
"I can't say enough about my great fans in Mexico and how much I was looking forward to playing in your great country. I appreciate the continued support from my Mexican fans and look forward to returning to Mexico as soon as possible," Tiësto.
He followed up with the following tweets, as he attempts to save a few of the scheduled Mexico dates:
"Dear Mexico, I am just as sad as you guys about my tour being canceled. It was really out of my control. I will try to reschedule ASAP!" (May 7)
"I am working on saving and rescheduling some of the Mexico dates at this moment.." (May 9)
"Tomorrow I have more news about Mexico..hold tight! But in the mean time keep swearing and insulting me as much as you like..#blameitontiesto" (May 9)
"Good news about my Mexican dates will come soon!" (May 10)
His latest Mexico tour update came late Friday night when he retweeted this "important" message from Unison Mexico Eventos:
"URGENT News from @ UnisonMexicoE about the rescheduling of @Tiesto in Mexico pic.twitter.com/ov9bhq3OFP"
Fluent Spanish speakers: feel free to click the link that summarizes which tour dates will be rescheduled/saved.
Minimal Spanish speakers: Tiesto will be performing May 15th (Guadalajara), 16th (Monterrey), and 17th (Mexico City).
Club Mix: Volume 3 Stockhom follows Tiesto's April 2011 released Club Life: Volume One Las Vegas and April 2012 released Club Life: Volume Two Miami.
According to DJ Tiesto:
"On this compilation [vol 3] you can hear the influence of the new generation of Dutch and Swedish DJs. When I listen back to this mix and the tracks that I produced and remixed, it takes me back to special places and very fond memories of Stockholm. I feel like I became a little bit Swedish over the years and I can honestly say that Stockholm will always be in my heart."
