After being together for three years, Aaron Rodgers and Olivia Munn finally broke up. Some sources say that the couple's split was amicable, but fans are on the fence, considering that there were rumors of an engagement 2 months ago. Now, fans can't help but wonder if the split happened because of family problems.

The celebrity couple started dating in 2014, wherein the Green Bay Packers quarterback and the Hollywood actress grew close during the later part of the year. A source told PEOPLE that Rodgers and Munn decided to separate after three years of being in a relationship, amid prior engagement rumors.

According to the same source, the two wishes to remain friends and that there was no lingering bitterness between them. They broke up just two months after fans speculated that Rodgers and Munn were engaged. The rumors surfaced after the latter was spotted wearing a large, diamond ring on her finger.

While the two had been supportive of each other during their relationship, they were never very affectionate in public. Many speculated that there was actually tension between Rodgers and Munn when it came to their families. Us Weekly reported that the former's family didn't like the latter.

The publication's source revealed that the athlete's family didn't trust the "Office Christmas Party" actress. He got angry and chose her over his family. Another source said that both Rodgers and Munn weren't happy when the former's father talked about the family tension during his interview with the New York Times.

The family drama rumors surrounding Rodgers and Munn continued to hound them till their split. The Green Bay Packers quarterback had previously said that Munn was not the cause of any of his family members' problems; however, the 36-year-old actress' name was constantly dragged into the drama. The couple has not yet released official statements about the cause of their break-up.
