Many fans were left wondering how Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) and Chuck’s (Michael McKean) relationship will move on in “Better Call Saul” Season 3. This is after Chuck dealt his brother the ultimate betrayal in last season’s finale. Speculations indicate that he will go further in antagonizing him which will only lead to Jimmy’s much anticipated transformation to Saul Goodman.

Series creators Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan explained that Chuck wanted justice and the legal system to be uncorrupted. His intention for the betrayal was to keep the justice system away from the machinations of Jimmy. Gilligan added that it was painful for Chuck to see Jimmy besmirching the rule of law. It is easy to see therefore that “Better Call Saul” Season 3 will see the showdown of the McGill brothers.

Many are curious to what will happen to Jimmy’s taped confession where he admitted tampering documents and bribing the store clerk who made copies of them. Most of the show’s fans think that Chuck will use the tape to his advantage in “Better Call Saul” Season 3. But, Gilligan told Entertainment Weekly that what viewers might expect on what he does to the tape will be totally different from what he actually does.

It is with the betrayal scene from last season’s finale that “Better Call Saul” Season 3 began according to Metro UK. Jimmy’s situation is looking doomed and new threats are hovering on the side. Chuck plays the confession tape to Howard who says the tape is useless given the circumstances how Chuck recorded it.

The “Better Call Saul” Season 3 premiere also saw the return of Jimmy’s chaotic relationship with Kim. She was seen feeling the strain of mounting work pressures. Fans are looking forward to find out if she will reach her breaking point with Jimmy’s shenanigans over the course of the season.
