I guess we can chalk this up to "Manny being Manny." The slugger, whose Hall-of-Fame caliber career in the MLB flamed out rather quickly, continues in Taiwan. The 40-year-old will likely go down as one of this generation's greatest power hitters, but will also be marred with controversy surrounding rumored steroid use and criticism over his laid back attitude, which left people scratching their heads. Ramirez seems to be up to his old tricks with his new Taiwanese team, the EDA Rhinos. Ramirez was recently photographed wearing an green Hulk suit from the comic book character.

Ramirez dressing up as the Hulk isn't quite as outlandish as it seems though. According to a blog, via Masslive.com, the entire team was having fun dressing up in Halloween costumes.

Ramirez has a long list of accomplishments on the field during his tenure in the major leagues. Ramirez was a 12-time All-Star and was named the MVP of the World Series with the Boston Red Sox in 2004. Ramirez was widely considered one of the best hitters in baseball. However, his MLB career had a rocky ending after testing positive for human chorionic gonadotropin while with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ramirez was suspended 50 games. Ramirez retired in 2011, before deciding he wanted to play again. He played for the Oakland Athletics' Triple A team in Sacramento before asking to be released. Ramirez's last major league appearance was with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011.

Ramirez has resurrected his career in Taiwan, instantly becoming a fan favorite. Ramirez makes far less money, reportedly making $25,000 a month. However, as you can see in the video below, the fans seem to love Ramirez. When is the last time you heard that type of excitement from announcers for an MLB team?
