Get ready Britney fans! Britney Spears is working on a new album. Spears' latest work will be her eighth studio album and first since 2011's "Femme Fatale." According to Billboard, Will.i.am revealed that he will executive-producing the new album after the two worked together on Will's "Scream & Shout" single. This comes on the heels of the news of Spears beginning her Las Vegas residency this fall.

The singer is reportedly working her butt off to get into shape for her debut in Las Vegas for the grueling schedule. In a cover story for Shape magazine Spears said, "The [Vegas] performances won't be simple-they'll be a massive party from start to finish...And to pull this off, I have to be in top condition and running at full speed."

The Las Vegas shows have been rumored for some time, but the Las Vegas Sun reported recently that the show will be hosted at Planet Hollywood. The Las Vegas shows will be a first for Spears, but could be a great move for the singer if pulled off successfully.

There haven't been many details revealed about Spears' new album, but there was one piece of news that may surprise some. According to Pop Crush, Spears said her new album will be more hip-hop. Spears was quoted as saying, "the record is definitely going to be more hip-hop than pop this time around." Do you think Spears can pull off a hip-hip album?

It sounds like Spears has a lot of new exciting musical projects on the horizon, but will they pay off? They can't hurt, as Spears' musical career hasn't been the same since her much talked about breakdown.

One thing is for sure, Spears is serious about getting into shape. Spears is on the cover of the June issue of Shape magazine and she definitely fits the bill. Spears looks to be in the best shape of her life. You can check out the photo of Spears in a white bikini below.
