Erin Moran Did Not Have A Comfortable Life After Her Stint In The Sitcom 'Happy Days'

Erin Moran is one of the most popular stars in the 70s and 80s. However, the actress dies poor at 56.

On Saturday, the police responded to an emergency team in Indiana after finding an unresponsive woman about 4 p.m. Erin Moran without life. The cause of the star's death remains unknown, BBC reported. However, per Daily Mail, the actress' death was suspected to be due to heroin abuse.

Her former co-stars and friends gave her tribute online. "Such sad sad news. RIP Erin. I'll always choose to remember you on our show making scenes better, getting laughs and lighting up TV screens," Ron Howard wrote.

"OH Erin... now you will finally have the peace you wanted so badly here on earth. Rest In It serenely now..too soon," Henry Winkler also wrote on Twitter.

Erin Moran joined the popular sitcom "Happy Days" in 1974 when she was only 13. She also made appearances on "Murder She Wrote" and "The Waltons." In 2010, Moran and her "Happy Days" co-stars filed a lawsuit against the CBS, claiming that the network owed them money from merchandising revenues. The case was settled with each star receiving a payout of $65,000. Originally, they asked for $10 million.

Erin Moran's life was not easy after her TV stint, People reported. In 2010, she lost her home in Palmdale, California to foreclosure. It was sold in at public auction for only $291, 150. In 2012, she lived in her in-law's trailer in Indiana to look after Moran and her husband, Steve Fleischmann moved into his mother's trailer. Moran looked after her ailing mother-in-law, but they did not stay there for long.

In September 2012, Erin Moran stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Corydon for a few days. She remained there until her death.

It is unknown if Erin Moran was employed at the time of her death. The star's last acting credit was in the 2010 film, "No Another B Movie." However, she appeared on reality TV until 2012.
