"Supernatural" Season 14 could be the last time fans will see the Winchester brothers Dean and Sam. Stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki revealed that the show will end with 300 episodes.

Ackles and Padalecki talked about the future of the show and revealed how long they plan to stay. The actors reflected on the accomplishments and memories they have shared on The CW series. They also hinted at the end of the show, when they said that it is time for the Winchester brothers to say goodbye after "Supernatural" Season 14.

In their interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ackles and Padalecki revealed that they both set a goal to do 300 episodes. After that, it is time to hang up those weapons and say goodbye to Sam and Dean Winchester. "

"When we get to 300, I think Ackles and I will think it might be time to say bye. There's a chance that changes, but we certainly do not take it for granted that we're going to make it to 300," Padalecki said. 300 episodes mean Ackles and Padalecki have 13 episodes of "Supernatural" Season 14 to portray as Sam and Dean Winchester.

However, The CW has no plans to end the show, according to Polygon. Mark Pedowitz, the network's president, made it clear that as long as both Ackles and Padalecki are happy then the series goes on. Pedowitz considered that the show has developed a cult following and fans would definitely be sad to see it end after "Supernatural" Season 14.

Regardless, Pedowitz has other plans in case the show does end with "Supernatural" Season 14. He opened up about the possibility of a spinoff. He said it is still a priority as long as The CW is willing to develop it. However, Ackles and Padalecki may not return as the Winchester brothers, since they want to move on to other projects.
