AMD Vega To Face Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti In Two Months, Raven Ridge APU To Follow Up This Year

AMD Vega is expected to hit the shelves two months from now, or a the end of this year's second quarter. With AMD Vega GPU and Ryzen CPU both in the market, speculations are up about AMD's Raven Ridge APU that features both the Vega and the Ryzen. AMD Raven Ridge expected to also be released this year.

AMD is trying to dominate its competitors this year by dropping bombs on its markets. AMD Ryzen is proven to be a successful product, especially the newly released Ryzen 5 that is favored by analysts. Next in line would be the AMD Vega GPU that will arrive in the market after two months, as reported by Tech Radar. This report was confirmed by AMD via a message from their social media page.

The AMD Vega GPUs were expected to be launched in June, with Computex being held in that month. The beefy Vega GPU is the attempt of AMD to touch the market ruled by Nvidia. The GPU is aimed for Nvidia's GTX 1080 Ti. It is expected that the AMD Vega will be on par with 1080 Ti's performance, if not better. But it is the price where AMD will have an edge. The Vega GPU is said to be cheap just like its Ryzen CPU counterpart.

With the AMD Vega and AMD Ryzen making their entrance this year, it is also expected that the AMD Raven Ridge will enter the market, as reported by Market Realist. Raven Ridge is an APU that would comprise four Zen cores and 11 Vega Cores and is reported to consist of 704 stream processors. The APU is said to be the powerhouse of the this year's MacBook, with Apple ditching its Intel roots. The AMD Raven Ridge would be followed by Pinnacle Ridge and Gray Hawk in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
