"Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2 may borrow some plot points from the 1984 movie "Romancing the Stone." The Adult Swim series has so far taken a random reference to other media titles and interestingly, "Rickmancing the Stone" is the title of the upcoming episode.

"Romancing the Stone" is an adventure film, which sees Michael Douglas' mercenary, accompany a novelist in her search for her sister. The pair traverses a deadly jungle using a treasure map, which leads them to a precious gem worth fortune. The movie is also a romantic comedy, which sees the pair fall in love during their adventure. "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2, "Rickmancing the Stone," may borrow some ideas from this storyline.

However, it is unlikely that the episode features a love story. According to Inverse, "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2 may see grandfather and grandson in another intergalactic adventure in search of a treasure or a precious gem. Rick wants to take this gem back to Earth but of course, he has to convince the ever-anxious Morty to work with him.

Likewise, it is likely that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2, "Rickmancing the Stone," includes a girl that Morty likes. This girl could be from the planet where the gem is from, which of course, challenges Morty's ethical standards. The episode may borrow the jungle elements from "Romancing the Stone" to describe the planet.

Regardless, these are mere plot speculations based on the title for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2, "Rickmancing the Stone." After all, the show has borrowed elements from movie titles in the past, with Episode 1 called "The Shawshank Redemption," which harks back to "The Shawshank Redemption."

The creators have yet to release a synopsis for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2. They have yet to announce the release date as well. According to The Independent, the next episode does not air until the Summer, which should be sometime between June and August.
