‘Sense8’ Season 3 Release Update: Netflix, Casts Considering Season 2 Renewal

"Sense8" Season 3 may happen following reports that casts have locked deals on the Season 2 renewal. Meanwhile, actor Brian J. Smith thinks a third installment should happen since there are more stories to tell.

Season 2 of the sci-fi series has yet to air on Netflix on Friday, but already fans are asking about the show's renewal. Apparently, the show has gained quite a fandom, so much so, that followers do not want it to end. The producers of the show have yet to announce a renewal of the series, although according to reports, the casts have already considered returning for "Sense8" Season 3.

A report from Deadline revealed that most of the major casts have come to an agreement on the renewal. These include Jaimie Clayton, Tuppence Middleton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Tina Desai, Brian J Smith, Toby Onwumere and Max Riemelt. They have reportedly closed a deal to appear in "Sense8" Season 3. The other casts, on the other hand, are still in negotiations.

Likewise, Netflix is positive that there is a renewal after Season 2. The network is asking fans to wait until June to make the final decision on "Sense8" Season 3. This means those casts who have closed their contract for the new season are on hold until June.

Meanwhile, Smith is hopeful that Netflix gives "Sense8" Season 3 a green light. The actor believes the show needs a renewal after Season 2 since there are still a lot of stories to tell. "I think we'll all know whether or not we should do a third season. I can say there's definitely more story to tell after season two. We're not done with it and I hope we get to finish it, I really do," Smith told Digital Spy.

The release of "Sense8" Season 3 rests on Netflix's decision and on how Season 2 goes. Smith added that the renewal would also depend on whether fans would like to see the show continue. It depends if they like what they see in Season 2 and want to see more.
